What brings you here?

Four common reasons people land on this page. Pick the one that fits — the chat tailors itself from there.

I sleep poorly or have aches

Back pain, joint pain, pressure points, or you wake up tired. We'll match support and contour to where you feel it most.

I'm copying a bed I love

Slept on something at a hotel, an Airbnb, or a friend's place — and want to build the equivalent without the brand markup.

I want quality without the markup

You've heard a custom build can match a $3K bed for half — and you want to see how that's actually possible. We'll show the math.

I want it natural and built to last

Latex-forward, no synthetic foams, layers you can replace one at a time. A bed that lasts twice as long and ages well.

It's not magic

Here's exactly how we build for you.

No black-box algorithm, no sales-floor pressure. Five questions, a transparent set of rules, and a stack you can rearrange.

1

You answer 5 questions

How you sleep, your firmness, your temperature, anything that aches, what matters most.

2

Each answer maps to a layer

"Hot sleeper" pulls in wool and latex. "Lower back pain" adds a denser support core. We show every rule.

3

The stack assembles live

You see the layers appear in real time — no big reveal at the end, no surprises.

4

You tweak in the builder

Swap layers, change thickness, drag to reorder. Your starting point is yours to redesign.

Honest materials

Seven layers.
Nothing hidden.

Every layer in the catalog. Every blurb the same length. The price you pay is the cost of the materials plus a margin we're upfront about.

Organic Quilted Cover

Soft, breathable surface. Cotton-poly blend, machine-washable cover with hidden zip.

Why: comfortable to the touch, easy to clean.

New Zealand Wool

Wicks moisture, regulates temperature, naturally flame-resistant — no synthetic treatments.

Why: keeps you 68°F all night, lasts decades.

Natural Dunlop Latex

Tapped from rubber trees in Sri Lanka. Buoyant, breathable, instantly responsive.

Why: 25+ year lifespan — three times the industry average.

Memory Foam

Slow-contour foam for pressure relief. Available thin / regular / plush.

Why: spreads weight across the surface — joint pain's best friend.

Pocketed Coils

Each spring isolated in its own fabric pocket. Whisper-quiet, instantly responsive.

Why: edge-to-edge support, zero motion transfer.

Base Support Foam

High-density foundation for foam-only builds. Adds longevity and even support.

Why: anchors the stack when you don't want springs.

Solid Wood Foundation

Furniture-grade hardwood. Slats sized to the frame for guaranteed compatibility.

Why: lasts 30+ years, looks the part.
What you should expect

Confidence, not conversion.

Transparent recipes

Every recommendation comes with the rule that produced it. If you disagree with one, change it in the builder.

100 nights at home

Sleep on it for 100 nights. If it isn't right, we'll work with you — swap a layer or refund the build.

Replaceable layers

One layer wearing out doesn't mean a new mattress. Swap individual layers years from now — fraction of the cost.

"First time in twelve years I've woken up without back pain. I didn't know sleep could feel like this."

Hannah R.Portland, OR · Verified owner

"Built a firmer side for me, softer for her. The custom-feel-per-side thing is real, and it works."

Marcus & EvieAustin, TX · Verified owners

"Smells like linen and fresh wool, not factory foam. It feels handmade because it is."

Slept on something amazing?
Let's match it.

Tell us the brand or model and we'll reverse-engineer the layers — same feel, materials chosen by you, often half the price. Most popular beds map cleanly to a 4–5 layer build.

Honest answers

Common questions.

Is the recommendation actually personalized, or is it a marketing wrapper?
It's a transparent rule set — five answers, each maps to specific layer choices. You can read every rule in the "How" section above. The recommendation is a starting point, not a sealed box: you can change anything in the builder.
Why is this less expensive than premium-brand mattresses?
Two reasons: (1) we don't pay TV ad budgets or showroom rent, (2) layers are sold à la carte, so you don't pay for a layer you don't want. The materials are the same — same Sri Lankan latex, same New Zealand wool, same pocketed coils.
What if my build doesn't work out?
100 nights at home. If a layer feels wrong, we'll swap it. If the whole thing feels wrong, full refund. Layers can also be replaced individually anytime — no need to buy a new mattress for a single worn-out comfort layer.
Can I ignore the survey and just go to the builder?
Yes. The "Browse the builder" link in the header skips the chat entirely and starts you with a default queen build. The survey is a shortcut for people who don't already know what they want.
Is the wool / latex actually natural, or is "natural" a marketing word here?
Wool is sourced from a co-op in New Zealand; latex is Dunlop-process from a single estate in Sri Lanka. We share the supplier names with anyone who asks — there's no IP advantage in obscuring them.
